His Goal = Our Goal... Wouldn't that be nice.
This is something I've came up with after praying. I think it's very interesting to keep in mind... but it'd be even more interesting if any of us can live it!
"We have no goals for our lives. It is only God who has already planned our goal for us. Therefore, whatever point of success we reach along the way, are only milestones."
Now... again... I think I spent like less than 5 minutes to "skim through" the validity of that thought... so I am pretty sure there are a lot of holes in it. =P But maybe someone can help me modify it to make it more "valid". =D
But one assumption is for sure... to truly believe that we have no goals in our lives except God's goal(s) for us is the MOST IDEAL situation. Cause all of us have our own dream (materialistic or not) that we want to make possible. Is it truly the thing God wants us to reach for? Cause sometimes, our personality makes us better suited for other aspects of His divine plan...
Example:
Does God really think I'd be the right person to be rich? Yes, right now I may SAY that I'll donate 50% or more of my wealth to charity. But when the time comes... many factors such as personal pleasure in luxury life or simply giving to friends, may make me unable to fulfill what we "promised". God knows this... so maybe he makes me average, because at this state, at least my mind is still clear enough to see what people around me need, and God's gift to me enables me to help those people.
It takes time and open-mindedness for us to really try thinking "outside our box"... outside of our perception of what we "should" try to be. Now this is different from sitting around praying for God to turn you into a doctor to help people. This just means that we should do our best with what God has given us... the gifts may not be used for what WE think it should be for... but I'm sure there will be somewhere in His plan for it. So test and search! =)
